You’ve heard us on many occasions talk about Zero Trust, an architectural approach to enterprise security that urges “never trust, always verify.” First proposed by Forrester Research, Zero Trust means that there’s no default trust for an entity, regardless of what it is and its location on or relative to a corporate network.

A few days ago we had the opportunity to discuss Zero Trust and the Palo Alto Networks approach with a group of journalists in Japan. Koichoro Otobe, Palo Alto Networks Director, Systems Engineering, explained the Zero Trust concept and the Palo Alto Networks platform approach to securing the enterprise, which includes next-generation firewall, next-generation endpoint protection and next-generation threat intelligence as its major elements.
